The International edition of Webster Comprehensive Dictionary in its semantic approach in giving meaning and context to words defines “interaction” as a reciprocal action or influence.
In Pasig Art Club interaction among fellow visual artists has been the underlying rock upon which the members build art upon art. Historically during the 50’s, among famous artists like Fernando Amorsolo, Botong Francisco, Guillermo Tolentino and others frequently interacted with the young professional Pasigueno painters at the atelier of Professor Ambrosio Morales. It was from this creative interaction that the seeds of Pasig Arts Club sprang forth.
Throughout the succeeding decade interaction among youthful Pasigueno astists-practitioners in the different fields of art and various national figures in the arts and culture characterized the flurry of activities of the club.
Towards the end of 2007 and the initial months of 2008, Fernando Sena, Ben Infante and Armida Francisco of the Saturday Group joined the club in several of its weekend sketching sessions. The club members also delighted in interacting with and learning from visiting portrait artist Edgar Lantin, a Filipino advertising art director who migrated to Canada. Having had his early feel of advertising work, Egay turned himself into a serious artist and developed his portraiture skills.
Realizing fully the benefits of interacting with fellow artists, the Pasig Art Club has planned its future activities mostly towards this rewarding social and educational thrust where the wealth and richness of experience in art is unselfishly shared.
