Joehan RoxasGreat things come in small packages. Joehan Roxas may have been born in a small home and grew up with humble beginnings but she definitely has great things in mind since she was a child.
At an early age, she knew what she wanted to be – an artist. Being an artist requires a lot – tons of art materials, school lessons, interaction with fellow artists or trips to museums but she cannot afford all of those. She was not born with a silver spoon but not having any of those so-called requirements did not stop her from what she wants. She has something more useful, something that money can’t buy – inspiration and determination. They say God will send you his instruments if you need it. Joehan became a member of Pasig Art Club (PAC), a group of talented artists. She met lots of artists, each of whom had a unique artistic style and used various mediums of art. Her exposure to the club helped her discover her strengths and style as an artist. She can now confidently use oil pastel, charcoal, acrylic and many other mediums of art for her paintings. She considers her life as a daily learning process – the artist way. She knows that someday her work will not just be a high school project but a masterpiece people would love |
