Pasig Art Club Serigraph Series 2012
The character of art which was once unique, original and possessing aura had been basically changed when during these post modern times works of art being reproduced using mechanical and technological reproduction methods.
Serigraphy - an adaptation into the silk screen process is one such method. hand-mad artworks are made on any desired surface by the use of stencil which is painted upon, the finished print being in all details, the work of the individual artist as distinguished from those commercially reproduced y silk screen process.
The serigraphs in this collection are reproduction of the artworks of the member artists of the Pasig Art Club and represent the first of a series of collectibles PAC will e producing. Established in 1957, Pasig Art Club is reckoned to as one of the oldest and respected collectives in the Philippines today. Home to many respected and celebrated visual artists, the club more than bring artists together in fellowship, it helps enrich the arts and culture in their community and beyond the Pasig River.
Proceeds from the sale of these serigraphs will benefit the artistic and cultural programs of the Pasig Art Club, Inc.
